Groovy Ruby is a musical project dedicated to recording, sharing, and performing encouraging, positive, Christ Centered music.

The songs feature some of the youngest but most talented vocalists around, and contain messages of love, hope, joy, and encouragement.  All things of the Gospel.  (1 Corinthians 13)

The Message is the Gospel.  The sound is more like the Monkees and Beatles colliding with the Go-Go's.

Groovy Ruby was created by songwriter Dean Laterra in 2005. 

"While teaching some songs I had written to a second grade class, one kid really stood out. It was like everyone had a kazoo, and she had a trumpet. She had clearly been blessed with natural singing ability.  It occurred to me then that perhaps kids could sing the songs that I write"

Since then Groovy Ruby has reocrded two CDs.  Cool Like That and Strong, Lovin', and Fun.

Though originally started out as a secular project, the direction has gradually shifted over the years to focus more on the Christian message, in paricular, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  This all being done through God's grace.

Laterra explains, "As I've unfolded and grown Spiritually over the years, so has the purpose and aim of my music.  How could it not?  My music, should reflect who I am.  May everything I do, be for the glory of Christ"
